PRODUCTS

Do you offer sizes smaller than 32oz jars?
No, regrettably many Sea Moss suppliers are providing consumers with Sea Moss that contains insufficient dosage amounts! These companies by their actions are not interested in doing what’s right for the consumer only in selling their products.

Collectively the industry defines a ‘serving’ of Sea Moss Gel as 1-2 Tablespoons and recommends a range of 1-2 servings per day. Converted to a unit of weight, in grams that would be 4-8 grams per day. A 32oz jar containing 28oz of My Grind Is Organic Sea Moss gel has 28 servings per jar. 2 jars are equivalent to a one months industry recommended supply. So, if we offered our customers smaller containers we would be doing them a disservice.
My Grind Is Organic is committed to being transparent, and to put our customers first.

Is your Sea Moss shipped at room temperature?
No, My Grind is Organic is the only company in the U.S. that has a unique refrigeration process from order to delivery. Common sense says, leaving food that is meant to be refrigerated otherwise spoils and with average shipping times at 5-8 days your Sea Moss Gel is already in the process of spoiling with these other suppliers!
My Grind Is Organic makes your Sea Moss Gel after we receive your order, made fresh, then we have a pre-shipping refrigeration process that we store your Sea Moss Gel in. We then have FedEx pick up your order, your Sea Moss Gel is put directly from the refrigeration process into an insulated bag to keep your jars cold during shipping. We place the jars that are now contained in the insulated bag inside of a special coated corrugated box which also aids in keeping your Sea Moss Gel cool during shipping and place that box inside of another box. All orders are shipped FedEx Express 2 day delivery!

How do I store my Sea Moss?
Sea Moss Gel should always be stored in a refrigerator immediately after receiving it or in your freezer.

How long does Sea Moss Gel last before spoiling?
Sea Moss Gel has an average life span of about 4 weeks.

Can I put my Sea Moss Gel in the freezer? Yes, by doing so your Sea Moss Gel will last 6-12 months in the freezer and once you remove it and thaw it, then an additional 4 weeks after that. Generally, frozen foods retain their vitamins and minerals and there is no change to the carbohydrate, protein or fat content. In some cases, frozen foods have more vitamins and minerals compared to fresh because fresh foods lose vitamins and minerals over time while freezing preserves nutrients.

Can I take Sea Moss if pregnant?
Sea Moss is great for an expecting mother. Babies require a majority of the Vitamins, Nutrients & Minerals an expecting mother consumes. By adding Sea Moss to your healthy eating regimen you will maximize the amount of Vitamins, Nutrients and Minerals being consumed so that mom is not left feeling drained after the unborn child has had its full share of the food benefits.

Can I give Sea Moss to an infant?
Sea Moss is safe & suggested for infants & children. Sea Moss Gel can double as a baby food option.

Can I take Sea Moss while on Iodine medication? (Common Thyroid issues)
PLEASE CONSULT A PHYSICIAN in this case. Normally what we find though is that Sea moss replaces the daily need for Iodine medication. Again, please consult your doctor & feel free to reach out to us directly for further discussion.

How much Sea Moss can I consume?
We suggest at least 2-3 tablespoons per day of the gel.

How do I eat Sea Moss?
You can do so by taking Sea Moss Capsules, with Sea Moss Powder or Sea Moss Gel you can add it to your drinks, foods, or smoothies as well as eat it by itself.

Can I eat my Sea Moss Gel by itself?
Yes, the body will have absolutely no issues with absorbing the Sea Moss gel directly. Many of our customers are in a hurry and don’t have the time to make a smoothie or another meal to add Sea Moss to, so on the run they just take the suggested amount by itself 2-3 Tablespoons, and many prefer our flavored Sea Moss gel for that purpose.

Where is your Sea Moss sourced from?
We source our Sea Moss direct; we do not work with any distributors, we are a direct-to-consumer company. All of our Sea Moss is Open-Ocean Organic Harvested, We DO NOT condone the practice of Wildcrafting Sea Moss due to the negative environmental impact on our planet’s ecosystem.

What is Carrageenan?
Sea Moss by its nature has carrageenan. Carrageenan is defined as “a common food additive that has been widely used for decades as a gelling, thickening and stabilizing agent.” There was a debate on whether carrageenan was harmful or not. That debate has actually been solved and concluded. It states that carrageenan is safe for human consumption. Carrageenan in its original form, which is also found in untreated sea moss is studied to be safe for humans. However, the product of intentional acid-hydrolysis of carrageenan, degraded carrageenan, and poligeenan are harmful to the human system. In a research, it is stated that “[the] confusion was due to the nomenclature used in early studies on CGN, where poligeenan was referred to as “degraded carrageenan” (d-CGN) and “degraded carrageenan” was simply referred to as carrageenan.
